A PLACE TO LEARN, DISCOVER &
EXPLORE THE EVER CHANGING WORLD
WE DESIGN IN!

✍️ Henry Cheney

We’re here to keep you inspired and informed, with a special focus on the intersection of four key areas:

CGI

Architecture

Design

Technology

Why these four? Because together, they define the future of creativity. At HBC Visual, our love for CGI has driven us to explore its transformative power across industries, and the rapid rise of AI is rewriting the rules of design.

Yet, we remain grounded in the timeless principles of creativity: the artist behind the tool will always matter.

Creativity is not a talent, it’s a way of perating.

MENTAL MUSINGS /

We often think of creation as adding, but sometimes the most powerful act is subtraction.

Just as a sculptor chips away excess stone to reveal the form within, or a composer removes unnecessary notes to highlight a melody, what could you remove from your current creative landscape?

It might be a distraction, a preconceived notion, or even a self-imposed limitation.

By consciously subtracting, you might just uncover the true essence of your next breakthrough.

CGI

In the world of CGI, the new F1 movie is out, and while we've seen some interesting CGI interpretations, this one really stood out. The level of detail and the cinematic accuracy in the driving dynamics are truly impressive.

Architecture

In the world of Architecture, this beautiful renovation project by Emma Dahlman from Still life story and her husband truly showcases what can be achieved with the right approach to blending old and new, and mastering the contrast between spaces and materials. It's well worth watching the video with Emma to get a true sense of the project’s journey—just click the image below

Design

In the world of Design, Porta Romana known for their lighting, has released a range of 3D-printed, mushroom-inspired wall lights. Their organic form, subtle texture, and gentle light create a truly natural feel. We look forward to seeing the creative ways these pop up in future designs.

Technology

In the world of Technology, we're diving deeper into software and innovation this week. Oliver Thomas from ArchiTech Network explores the exciting developments and future of BIM 2.0 with Altaf Ganihar from Snaptrude. This company is uniquely positioned to bridge the gap, bringing the latest technology and AI advancements to an industry traditionally slow to adopt new systems. Watch this space!

Have no fear of perfection - you’ll never reach it.

Doodle

Instead of relying on AI-generated images, we invite you to doodle! Sketching isn’t just for fun—it’s a way to unlock creativity and explore new ideas. Each issue, we’ll feature one doodle, and soon, we’d love to showcase your creations.

🎨 Grab a pen, unleash your imagination, and get doodling! 🎨
